Wedo 1.2 Robotics Class (Monday- January 4th-March 15th)

Students will be provided with laptop computers, programming software, LEGO Construction kits, motors, sensors as well as direction instruction with this academically rigorous program. Working in partners, young students design their own solutions by building LEGO models along with programming them to perform certain tasks. In this real world context, students learn engineering principles and professional practices with learning correct vocabulary, terminology, and functionality of all the physical components and electrical components.

Siblings of the child enrolled in the class are welcome to stay and play or utilize the BrickLab area as a work space.

Cost is $55 for 10 week class
Begins Monday, January 4th to March 15th
Times are 1pm to 2:00pm
Ages 6+

Simple and Powered Machines (Friday- January 8th-March 19th)

Students will be provided with LEGO Construction kits, motors as well as direction instruction with this academically rigorous program. Working in partners, young students design their own solutions by building LEGO models.   In this real world context, students learn engineering principles and professional practices with learning correct vocabulary, terminology, and functionality of all the physical components and electrical components.

Each week students will. Idle a different dinosaur including T-Rex, Stegosaurus, Dimetrodon, Triceratops and more!

LEGO (R) Robotics WEDO 2.0 (Friday- January 8th-March 19th)

This class uses the latest science standards and was created to enhance students’ curiosity and science skills. Working in partners, students will learn build and then program their models using labels, a Smarthub, a Medium Motor, Motion Sensor, a Tilt Sensor, and plenty of building elements.  This class identifies real world issues and solutions in life, physical, earth, and space sciences, as well as engineering.
